FROM Barcelona El Prat Airport

Barcelona Airport "El Prat" lies 12 km south of the city on the coast. These is a tourist information desk. You can travel to the city by bus, train or taxi.

 
   BUS:
The bus is called the "AEROBUS" and has a blue colour. There is a stop in front of each of the 3 terminal buildings. The bus operates on a loop between the airport and Plaza de Catalunya (centre of Barcelona).

The buses have luggage racks and special ramps for disabled passengers with wheel chairs.

 
   TAXI:
Barcelona taxis are easily spotted with their yellow and black livery. There are taxi ranks outside each terminal building. The journey into the city takes around 20 minutes and costs around EUR 25, --. There is a maximum of 4 passengers per taxi. A green light on the roof shows if they are available. There are taxi ranks where they wait for passengers, for instance at Plaza Catalunya near to Las Ramblas. However the simplest way is to wait until you see one with a green light, then stick out your arm.
Taxis operate 24 hours a day.
Taxis can be called by 'phone. The service is usually fast and reliable. If you need a taxi from a restaurant the staff will usually call for you.
Only pay according to the meter, taxis can not charge a fixed fare.
    
   TRAIN:
There is a bridge with travelator linking the station with the terminal buildings.
